Updates

Trevor and LiamMarch 2011 - We would like to thank The Hastings Old Town Carnival Association, The Tunstall Charitable Trust and The Rother Valley Lodge for the generous donations they have recently given the club.

We would also like to thank Trevor Foster and all the boxers who raised donations by running the Hastings half marathon and mini fun run. Trevor, father of boxer Liam, has raised an incredible amount for the boxing club over the years as well as supporting other youth activities in the town including a youth football team, this kind of selfless generosity is extremely rare and we feel honoured that Trevor supports us with such commitment. Thank you very much Trevor, we really appreciate your consistent support, you're a gem.

We would also like to thank Littlewood Fencing for supporting our next show on May 28th at the Phoenix Art centre, Parkstone Road, Hastings, the proceeds from which will be split between the club and St Michaels Hospice.

Thank you Hendy HireAugust 2010 - We recently took a party of 62 camping to Bun Leisure, Selsey near Chichester for a weekend of relaxation, team building and general fun! The facilities were excellent and although the weather wasn't the best, we all had a great time. The trip almost didn't take place as due to the popularity of the trip we were left short of transport and if it hadn't been for Hendy Hire stepping in too save the day by loaning us a minibus we would have been left disappointed - A big thanks to Steve and Hendy Hire for saving the day.

Ex Boxers Association supporting the clubJune 2010 - The Ex Boxers Association, kindly donated £450 to the club. It's absolutely brilliant to know that ex boxers and ex coaches continue to support the present batch of boxers and coaches in such a proactive manner.

Meetings of the Ex Boxers Association take place on the last Sunday of every month the Silverhill club St Leonards on Sea, the bar of which is filled with boxing memorabilia.

The Lions club presenting Colin with a cheque for £4000January 2010 - Having built a self funded extension to the gym, the club found itself in dire peril as during the build it was found that the whole west side of the gym had to be pulled down and rebuilt, however thanks to the patience and generosity of the builder on site, Bob Bristow and the fund raising efforts of the committee lead by Colin Parsons the club is once again on an even footing. We do however owe a huge debt of gratitude to those who stepped in and supported us in our hour of need and to those who continue to volunteer their time to ensure the project is completed. The committee, coaches and boxers would like to thank:
