"Boxing

Romford
ABC Show, Dukes Hall Romford - Nov 3rd:
Three West
Hill lad's, Henry Woodman Ball, Ben White and Barry Buchanan
boxed on the Romford ABC Show, held at the Dukes Hall Romford
on November 3rd.
Henry was
1st to box against J Sawyer of home club Romford ABC. Henry
put in another strong display to secure his 2nd victory
in 2 outings, this time by unanimous points.

Ben White
was next to box against Kingfisher ABC's strong but elusive
southpaw Caine Brunning. Ben gamely tried to close the gap
to deliver his punches but came up short on this occasion
and lost on a unanimous points decision.

Barry Buchanan
was last to box against James Innes of Cwmbran Police Academy
ABC. Barry started slowly and had ground to make up going
into the later rounds. Barry gave it his all but was unable
to pull back enough points in a spirited comeback and lose
by a majority points decision.

Southern
Counties vs Midlands, Copthorne Hotel Effingham Park - Nov
3rd:
While his
older brother Barry was boxing on the Romford Show, Dennis
"Butch" Buchanan was representing the Southern
Counties against a Midlands Select Team at a show organised
by representatives of the Crawley ABC, our own guest writer
of the "Ask The Ref" column Rees Hopcraft heavily
involved in the organisation.
The show,
staged at the Copthorne Hotel, Effingham Park was a superb
spectacle for those attending and a joy for all boxers and
coaches involved.

Dennis boxed
superbly on the back foot to beat a strong opponent in Innolee
Kiyimba.
